Carolina Man uses App to Officiate Marriage

A couple from South Carolina were denied the right to be married in June of 2019, and Robert Bellows promised his wife they would get married. After searching for hundreds of people to officiate there marriage, all said no. Bellows thought this would be it for him and his fiancee, until he was scrolling through the appstore looking for a new dating app, he discovered an app called MarryYou, which claimed they could legally officiate your marriage and even mail you a marriage license. Since the app was free, Bellows downloaded it, and made him and his now wife's dreams come true, except for the fact that she wasn't his wife and the app was actually just a game. Bellows quickly went to Facebook to rant about the falsehood of the app.

TTN did a quick investigation into this and couldn't figure out where Bellows got the idea that the app would officiate his marriage, as the description for the app mentioned nothing of such. On his most recent Facebook most, Bellows claimed that the description was changed so the app company could get away with the "crime", but when the company willingly came to us to clear the whole situation up, they showed TTN that there app was actually created a day before Bellows discovered it, and there was no evidence of the description being changed, since it was only just created.
