Netflix Buys Disney+ in Bizarre Twist!

In an astonishing turn of events, Disney has accepted the $200 billion amount that Netflix originally pledged in February of 2019. Disney has been working very hard for the last 4 years on getting their streaming service, Disney+ up and running by the end of 2019. Disney CEO Robert Iger was surprised by Netflix’s offer, but was ultimately understanding that handing Disney+ over to Netflix was the best decision regarding the future of all streaming services. In November of 2018, Disney was hit with backlash, like most other networks when they announced Disney+. People were upset that they would now have to pay for multiple subscriptions for all these streaming services, and Iger realized he did not want to be a part of that trend and understood that Netflix is on top and should remain on top.

The question as to whether Disney+ will be integrated into Netflix or become its own thing remains unknown. Maybe even, a new streaming service will come out of this, like DisneyFlix or Netflix+, but who really knows how this will turn out? At next years D23, Iger says that all will be explained in a special stage show with him and Netflix CEO, Reed Hastings. Hastings, who has not spoken too much about the takeover has alarmed some people, given that this is such a major turnover in the streaming world. As a matter of fact, Hastings hasn't posted on his Twitter since the day before the announcement.

UPDATE: TTN has just received word that Hastings will be making a public appearance outside of the Netflix headquarters outside of Los Gatos, CA. Hastings will not be joined by Iger and will only be talking about the future of Netflix.

UPDATE 2: TTN has just finished it's report on Hastings appearance outside of the Netflix Headquarters. To our surprise, Netflix has seemingly stolen our suggested name DisneyFlix as the new name of the streaming service, which we now know will be arriving in December of 2020. With this great news, it is also sad to be known that Netflix will be closing its streaming service in June of 2020, to make way for "DisneyFlix". As well as this, all the people who were anxiously waiting for the arrival of Disney+ will now have to wait an additional year to finally watch all the shows and movies they have been dying for.

UPDATE 3: TTN has now sued Netflix over the theft of there name, but neither Netflix nor the federal government has responded.

UPDATE 4: After receiving unsettling news from our advisor's, TTN has decided it will no longer be suing Netflix, and will rather continue reporting on the story.

UPDATE 5: Netflix has officially combined with Disney+ into DisneyFlix (An original name) and has even announced that the release date has been brought closer to July of 2020. This is great news, as the subscribers of Netflix will only have to endure one month of no streaming. There is no telling what the future of streaming services will look like after the release of DisneyFlix. Will DisneyFlix but Hulu next and become some new messed up name? Will DisneyFlix just die out and turn out to not be as exciting as everyone thought it would be? Or will TTN run out of funding before they finish reporting on this story. Only time will tell.
